Head Receiver/Skill Position Coach
TK Ehlebracht was All-Conference & All-Area as both a wide receiver and cornerback in high school. With only average speed, TK relied on his sound pass catching and disciplined route-running ability to excel at both positions. With no major division 1 scholarship offers, TK attended Division III North Central College in Naperville, IL. At NCC, TK excelled in four major sports – football, basketball, baseball and track. He received All-American honors in baseball and All-Conference as a wide receiver in football. In his senior year at NCC, TK participated in a 6-week speed/plyometric training program developed by a friend. Over the span of the training, TK was able to drop his 40-yard dash time from 4.65 down to 4.45 while adding 6 inches to his vertical jump. This increase in speed and already sound fundamental route running and pass catching allowed TK to gain the attention of the NFL scouts. In 1981 TK was signed as an undrafted free-agent by the Chicago Bears. TK played in 81-82 season with the Bears where was known as a very reliable pass catcher and route runner. Between 1983 and 84 TK played in both the USFL and CFL with the Chicago Blitz, Pittsburgh Maulers and Saskatchewan Rough Riders.
In 1999, TK began to offer the BLAST training to male and female athletes of all sports with incredible success. This was the same program he had learned in 1979 with only minor modifications to the equipment to make it safer and adjustable to all ability levels. By the spring of 2002, TK had trained more than 2,000 athletes in the Chicago-land area. That summer, TK was hired as the receiver coach for Lockport Township High School in Lockport, IL. 65 members of the LTHS football team took part in the BLAST training program, twice a week for the entire summer. TK also worked with the offense on their ball-catching and route-running skills.
The Lockport Porters won the 8A State Championship in 2002 and 2003. TK’s receivers had nearly 4000 receiving yards during both of these seasons. Most notably, seven different receivers had at least 300 receiving yards on both of these championship teams. In his five years of coaching high school, TK’s receivers have amassed nearly 18,000 receiving yards with 32 different receivers compiling 300 yards or more. In those 5 years, TK coached 10 All-Conference, 4 All-State, and 2 All-American receivers.
His attention to detail and meticulous breakdown of pass catching and route running is what sets TK apart from other wide receiver personal trainers. And his lengthy roster of successful High School, Collegiate and Professional WR’s is why the top receivers come to TK.
